Would you like to travel to Cyprus without any hassle?

Then plan your trip and make your bookings well in advance. Also, plan your itinerary before you reach the island.

Who doesn’t want a hassle-free holiday on the island of love? Apart from that…

...Cyprus is a year round holiday island, but summer is the peak season and almost everything is fully booked. Last minute bookings are available but you are going to miss out on the best of Cyprus. The best accommodation, the best rental cars, the cheapest flights, the best tours, etc.

But let’s take things one by one…

Quick links:

Travel to Cyprus: Flights

There is a bundle of air travel companies flying to the island. To name a few: Wizzair, Ryanair, British Airways, Aegean, easyJet, Lufthansa, Aeroflot, Swiss, Emirates, etc.

Book your flight in advance if you don’t want to pay much on air travel. Last minute bookings are usually much more expensive.

There are no direct flights from the United States to the island. You will have to book your flight through another European country.

Travel to Cyprus: Accommodation

We will be repeating ourselves but it’s very important…

…book your accommodation before the peak season (summer: June – August) reaches the island.

Take a look at our section of Where to Stay in Cyprus: The Guide for more information.

Travel to Cyprus: Rental Cars

Renting a car is a comfortable and easy way to tour the island. You can visit the beaches and countryside at your own pace. Who doesn’t want this? :-)

However, please note that we drive on the left side of the road, so if you are used to driving on the right side, please take extra care.

Travel to Cyprus: Itinerary

Take a look at our section on What to Do in Cyprus to plan the perfect itinerary. It includes water activities, land activitiesattractions, beaches, tours, golf, scuba diving, itineraries, routes and UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Tip: If you plan to visit more than one place in Cyprus (for example Paphos and Troodos Mountains) please note that it will save you time if you have a car…

…and if you book in advance you might save money on car rental bookings.

If you decide to rent a car, your itinerary will be completely different rather than having to get a bus or a taxi to get to your destination.

So if car rental is in your budget, go for it. You won’t regret it!

Travel to Cyprus: Guided Tours

Book your guided tour in advance.

Guided tours are a fun and informative way to tour and learn about the island. Besides you will get to know the island’s hospitality, scenic routes, monasteries, taste delicious food and wines, and so on.

Travel to Cyprus: Water Tours

What a fun way to tour the island!

Get ready to party on one of the many cruise boats there are out there, with hospitable captains.

Travel to Cyprus: Safety

Crime in Cyprus is low. However, you should still take care of yourself and your belongings. Use the hotel’s safe and don’t leave any valuables in the car.

If you are traveling to Cyprus solo, you shouldn’t worry about safety. Just take extra care during the night if you are near clubs and bars where people might get “a bit over excited” because of over drinking :-).

Travel to Cyprus: Visa Requirements

Take care of any visa requirements in advance, if you need one.

Note: European Union (EU) citizens are not required to have a visa to enter the island, because Cyprus is a Member State of the European Union.

So if you would like to travel to Cyprus without any hassle, take into consideration all of the above.

For example, taking care of your bookings (flights, accommodation, car rental, tours, airport transfers, etc) and visa applications well in advance will lead to a hassle-free journey to Cyprus. In addition, plan your itinerary (see Cyprus itineraries) before you reach Cyprus because in that way you will know exactly the adventure of the day…

…and that’s exciting! Who doesn’t want excitement in their holidays? :-)
