We love Kato Paphos Archaeological Park (also known as Archaeological Site of Nea Paphos) and the Tombs of the Kings. The history behind these two amazing archaeological sites is long and unique.
Also, lovely monasteries we visit every year is Ayios (Saint) Neophytos monastery near Tala village and Panayia (Virgin Mary) Chrysorroyiatissa monastery in Panayia.
The Akamas peninsula is another wonderful destination we like to visit along with Avakas Gorge and the Baths of Aphrodite.

Tip: If you are visiting Akamas peninsula the best car to rent is a 4WD.
Ancient Kourion is one of our favorite archaeological sites in Limassol. The view from up there and the archaeological site itself are stunning.
We also like to pay a visit to the wonderful holy monastery of Trooditissa and the beautiful Old Town of Limassol.

The best way to tour Limassol district is by renting a car.
However, if you wish to tour only the Old Town of Limassol then you don’t need a car. You can either book a guided tour or tour on your own by strolling the streets of Old Town.

Some of our favorite destinations in Larnaca district are the lovely monastery of Stavrovouni (the route to get there, up in the hill where the monastery is built, is so beautiful), Saint Lazarus church, Ayios Minas monastery, the Salt Lake and Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque.

Rent a car to tour Larnaca district at your own pace (see Cyprus Routes).
If, for example you wish to visit Ayios Minas monastery – which is recommended – and then visit Salt Lake you will definitely need a car to get there, to both sites. So, unless you book a tour, renting a car is highly recommended.
Nicosia is the last divided capital city in Europe.
However, there are lots of attractions to see and lots of strolling to do as long as you have plenty of time.
Laiki geitonia, Ledras street, Nicosia’s Old Town streets, Kykkos monastery and Machairas monastery are few of the many wonderful attractions we love in our home town Nicosia.

The best way to see Nicosia town centre is by strolling the streets. Most of the attractions are within walking distance.
Booking a guided tour will make your day even more enjoyable and informative! :-)
However, if you wish to visit Troodos Mountains in Nicosia district then renting a car or booking a tour are the best options.
Ayia Napa is a famous resort in Cyprus and in Europe.
There are quite a few things to do and see in Ayia Napa.
A few of our favorite attractions are the Ayia Napa monastery, Nissi beach, Makronissos beach, Landa beach, Ayia Thekla beach, Glyki Nero beach and the Sea Caves.

Tours in Ayia Napa and from Ayia Napa to outside the district of Famagusta are available.
Also, renting a quad is a fun and popular way to tour this exquisite resort.
If you wish to visit Paphos from Ayia Napa then renting a car is one of the best options. The other option is to hire a taxi or get a bus.
Travelling by bus will take you much more time to get there though. So choose wisely.
Protaras resort is the neighbor of Ayia Napa resort. They are very close to each other.
Fig tree bay and Konnos bay are two of the many stunning beaches we love in Protaras. Also, we really like Ayioi Saranta Cave Church and Profitis Elias church which are worth a visit.
Profitis Elias church is located up on a hill from where you can have a panoramic view of Protaras.
Our favorite beaches in Protaras are the popular Fig Tree bay, Konnos beach (as mentioned above) and Kapparis (MMAD) beach.

If you like to travel at your own pace and you want to tour Protaras on your own then renting a quad or a scooter (or even a car) are the best options.
Also, if you would like to visit the other districts of Cyprus from Protaras, then renting a car might be the best choice, especially if you wish to visit Troodos Mountains.
If renting a car is not in your budget then consider booking a tour (either land or water tour) for a pleasant and informative day out.
Please note that tours from Protaras to outside the district of Famagusta are available.
