There are two legal airports
in Cyprus…
In order to enter the island legally you have to land either in Larnaca airport or Paphos airport…
…or arrive in Limassol port, Larnaca port or Paphos port.
There is no airport in Limassol, Ayia Napa, Protaras or Nicosia. Only Paphos and Larnaca have legal airports on the island – as mentioned above.

Check out the quick links below to guide you through the article.
Quick links:
Larnaca International Airport provides a legal entry into the island and it’s located in the Larnaca district.
The nearest legal airport in Ayia Napa and Protaras resorts in the Famagusta district is Larnaca airport.
Limassol is located between the 2 airports, so the nearest airport in Limassol is both (Larnaca and Paphos airports).
To be more precise Larnaca Airport is a bit closer to Limassol than the airport in Paphos. That’s why your taxi transfer fee might be a bit higher from Paphos to Limassol than from Larnaca to Limassol, although Limassol is located between these two airports.
The nearest legal airport in Nicosia is Larnaca airport.

Pafos International Airport is the second legal airport in Cyprus (after Larnaca airport which is the largest airport on the island).
The nearest cities to Paphos airport is Paphos and Limassol (which is located between the Paphos district and Larnaca district).
As it was mentioned above, Larnaca Airport is closer to Limassol than the airport in Paphos. That’s why your taxi transfer fee might be a bit higher from Paphos to Limassol than from Larnaca to Limassol, although Limassol is located between these two airports.
