7-day Cyprus itinerary…
Embark on an adventurous and cultural journey on the island of love…Cyprus!
If you enjoy driving and you wish to see most of the island that’s great!...
…because we have created the perfect 7-day Cyprus itinerary just for you!
Please note that this 7-day Cyprus itinerary was created having in mind that you will have a rental car as your transport.
So let’s get started…
The best way to explore the island is by renting a car.
So if a rental car is in your budget go for it. You won’t regret it!
Whether you are landing at Larnaca Airport (LCA) or Paphos Airport (PFO), consider booking your rental car months before the day of your arrival to the island. In this way you will save money and are more likely to find a car of your choice. So plan ahead.
So let’s start…
(You will stay 3 days in Paphos, 2 days in Ayia Napa and 2 days in Larnaca).
The nearest legal airport to Paphos is Paphos Airport (PFO). See flights to Cyprus.
Today you will explore Kato Paphos and its Archaeological Park – including Tombs of the Kings (UNESCO). You are going to stroll along the Paphos promenade, see the harbor and the castle and admire the views of the Mediterranean Sea. They are all within walking distance.
You are going to sunbathe under the warm sun and swim in the crystal clear sea water of Coral Bay.
Enjoy your first day on the island :-).
See Paphos attractions and Cyprus beaches or our Top 3 beaches in Paphos for your information.
If you love wine, today it’s wine tasting!
Check out Routes 5, 6 or 7 (see Cyprus Routes). These are wine routes in the Paphos district. You will love it!
If wine tasting is not something that interests you, then consider following the more adventurous Route 4 (see Cyprus Routes).
By following this route, you will explore the charming coastal villages of Paphos district and the beautiful inland of the island (the mountains). It’s a wonderful combination of both sea and mountains. You will love it!
Route 4 is a long route, so get ready to drive long hours. En route you will make a few stops to admire the view and also mingle with the locals to “taste” local hospitality and food. Also, you will visit monasteries and admire their unique buildings.
If you decide to embark on a journey following Route 4 we highly recommend an early start in the morning and a full tank of petrol. That’s very important.
It’s difficult to find petrol stations in the mountains, so fill up the fuel tank of your car from the beginning of your journey.
Today is your last day in Paphos.
Consider booking a boat cruise which is a fun way to explore the coast of Paphos…or…
…if you don’t have a 4x4 car to explore Akamas peninsula consider booking a Jeep safari to Akamas. You will have a great day out!
If you don’t wish to book a boat cruise or a Jeep safari, then see Cyprus beaches or our Top 3 beaches in Paphos for your information. You are going to explore the coast (the beaches) of this beautiful district.
Today you are going to the famous resort of Ayia Napa.
Have an early start in the morning and a full tank of petrol.
From Paphos, take the motorway towards Limassol and from Limassol take the motorway towards Larnaca. From Larnaca take the motorway towards Ayia Napa. There are road signs to guide you.
It’s a day to relax. Once you reach your accommodation unpack and head to the beach.

Start early in the morning and head towards the Larnaca district.
From Ayia Napa take the motorway towards Larnaca.
Once you reach your accommodation and unpack we recommend for the day to follow either Route 16 or Route 17 (see Cyprus Routes).
Route 16 will take you to the scenic mountains and Route 17 will take you to the charming wine villages.
Along the way you will stop in monasteries.
Choose which route to follow (either 16 or 17) and begin your journey as early as possible. Have a full tank of petrol.

We recommend visiting (among others) the Salt Lake and Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque.
