…and if you have time to visit all the attractions in Protaras, then consider visiting Ayia Napa too.
The exquisite resort of Ayia Napa is only a few minutes away by car, quad or buggy or scooter. So if you are staying in Protaras for your holidays, don’t miss visiting the famous resort of Ayia Napa. You will love it!
The church of Profitis Elias is built on a hill from where you can have a panoramic view of Protaras and the seaside.
The small church of Ayioi Saranta is “hidden” in a cave in Protaras in a place that not many people go.
Low cars might have a hard time to getting there…bumpy road!!!
Ayioi Saranta church is off the beaten track away from the noise of tourist places. You need about 10 minutes by car to get there from Protaras harbor. We recommend you visit it whether you are a religious person or not. It’s fascinating how a small cave has been turned into a church.
Both churches are worth a visit. If you have enough time in Protaras include them in your itinerary.
Protaras is famous for its beaches, especially Fig Tree bay, Konnos bay and Kapparis (MMAD) beach.
Rent a car or a quad and start a tour of the beaches in Protaras. It will be a wonderful adventure, especially if you have time to visit them all.
Swim and sunbathe under the hot summer sun (June, July and August) or the warm weather of May, September and October. You will definitely have a lovely time in Protaras if you are a beach lover.
If you are a sports person, consider doing water sports just for the fun of it. Make your days count in order to make most of your holiday on the island.
Last but not least…
…Take an afternoon walk in Protaras Promenade holding hands with your loved one admiring the sunset while having a cocktail with fresh local fruits…or…
…visit Ocean Aquarium home of 1000+ species such as piranhas, stingrays, crocodiles, penguins and many more. Also, you can take a walk in the beautiful tropical gardens.
Rent a quad and explore Cape Greco National Forest Park at your own pace. Expect to find sea caves, rare flora and fauna, hike, admire natural beauty and take pictures of scenic views.
If you have time to tour nearby resorts, include Ayia Napa in your itinerary too. It’s only a few minutes away by car from Protaras. If you decide to do so, take a look at Ayia Napa attractions.
