Petra tou Romiou (it means Rock of the Greek or Rock of the Roman) also known as Aphrodite’s Rock or Rock of Aphrodite is located off the shore along the motorway of Paphos-Limassol.
Important Note: The road sign for the exit towards Aphrodite’s Rock says Petra tou Romiou – not Aphrodite’s Rock or Rock of the Greek.
So be careful when driving on the island…you don’t want to miss the road sign saying Petra tou Romiou otherwise you will miss the exit and the views – Petra tou Romiou, Rock of Aphrodite, Rock of the Greek/Roman = the same place.
Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite’s Rock) is an important attraction in the Paphos district since the views to get there are spectacular (it’s one of the most beautiful coastlines on the island) and the legend behind the Rock is so fascinating.
So include it in your itinerary…you have nothing to lose…only to gain from the breathtaking views.
