Kato Paphos Archaeological Park – also known as Archaeological Site of Nea Pafos (Paphos) – is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is a must-see, must-walk attraction in Kato Paphos.

Kato Paphos: Must See Attractions – Paphos Castle

This Medieval Fort (Paphos Castle) is located at the west end of the town’s harbor. It was originally a Byzantine fort built to protect the harbor. Later on it was rebuilt by the Lusignans (13th century) but dismantled by the Venetians.

When the Ottomans conquered the island, they rebuilt the fort (16th century). Today you will see the Ottoman restoration of the western Frankish tower with its Venetian additions.

Stroll along the Paphos harbor and admire the views of the Mediterranean Sea. There are taverns, restaurants and cafes there, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, drink or a meal.

Stroll the promenade during the afternoon while the sun is going down to admire the colors of the Mediterranean Sea. You will love it!
