Are you looking for the top Ayia Napa beaches in the Famagusta district?

Here you will find our Top 3 beaches in Ayia Napa that we visit every year without fail.

Why are they on the top of our list, you may ask?

Here’s why…

Quick links:

Ayia Napa Beaches: Nissi Beach

Nissi beach…what a stunning beach!

Nissi beach is one of the most famous beaches on the island and in Europe in general!

This impressive, award winning, blue flag golden sandy beach is ranking right at the top of our list as one of the best 3 beaches in the Ayia Napa resort in the Famagusta district.

Why?

Because it has everything we love to have on a beach!

This 600 meter long beach has shallow crystal clear seawater, sun beds, umbrellas, water sports, toilets and beach bars. In addition, if you get hungry while you are there, within walking distance, you can end up in one of the many restaurants in the area and enjoy a nice lunch.

However, since Nissi beach is so popular amongst locals and visitors too, it attracts large crowds of youngsters (and couples) especially in the months of June, July and August.

…and that’s why we visit Nissi beach in September and October. It’s the best time to visit this beach if you like the beach less crowded. It’s our little secret :-).

Access to the beach is very easy…on foot, by car, by bike.

Ayia Napa Beaches: Makronissos Beach

What a wonderful beach!

Makronissos beach is a 350 meter long beach. It’s a blue flag beach consisting of a cluster of 3 bays.

We love this beach because of its golden sands and crystal clear waters…

…and, of course, because of its facilities which include sun beds, umbrellas, water sports, bars, kiosks and toilets. Everything you need for a day out on the beach.

Access is very easy. You can go there either on foot, by car or by bike.

Ayia Napa Beaches: Ayia Thekla Beach

A magnificent natural blue flag beach!

This 300 meter long beach is located within the Special Protected Area of the Natura 2000 network.

Ayia Thekla beach is not the same as the other 2 beaches. It’s a sandy beach, but it has a rocky bottom covered in golden sand. It has crystal clear blue waters and facilities such as sun beds, umbrellas, toilets, water sports, restaurants and kiosks.

If we want a more relaxed and calm environment, we always choose Ayia Thekla beach to swim and sunbathe.

We get there by our car, but access is also easy on foot or by bike too.

…And that wraps up our information on our Top 3 Ayia Napa beaches that we visit every year without fail. We hope you found what you were looking for. :-)
