Agros, Cyprus: A Beautiful Village in the Limassol District

Agros (Cyprus) is a beautiful, picturesque, peaceful village in the magnificent Troodos mountains, in Pitsilia region in the Limassol district.

If you are looking for the perfect relaxation, away from the “buzz” of the city, in nature, in a village-resort surrounded by the Troodos mountains, then Agros might be the place for you!

For the locals, that’s us :-), Agros is a wonderful escape from the city. We visit Agros quite often as we love nature and serenity. In other words, Agros is one of the best mountainous escapes on the island, a very popular holiday destination among the locals.

Agros is a family friendly mountain resort where you can have a wonderful time, while breathing in the fresh mountain air.

Nature trails, old churches, panoramic forest views, restaurants, hotels, the rose factory, shops selling traditional local products await for your visit. Hospitality at its best! We love it there!

If you decide to visit Agros, you will be mesmerized by the village and the hospitality of the locals. Take it from us, that we have visited Agros countless times! It’s a fabulous place!

What’s the best season to visit Agros, you ask?

Any season! Whether it’s spring and the plants are blooming (you will see some wonderful flowers in Agros), or winter and the mountains are “dressed in white” (because of the snow), autumn or summer (it’s cooler in the mountains), Agros is perfect in any season.

However, you should note that Agros is more “alive” during the peak season (i.e. summer) and winter. Summer is the time when the locals have their holidays and winter is the time when the locals (and visitors alike) are mesmerized by the “white mountains”. Yes, we get to have snow in the Troodos mountains! :-)

And that’s some of the reasons we love visiting Agros.

As you can tell by now, Agros is one of our favorite must visit places in the Limassol district. What a lovely village, what a wonderful experience to stay there!

If you decide to stay in Agros (instead of having just a day trip) please see Agros accommodation for information on the best hotel-resort in this stunning village.
